MZS team led by partner Kirill Udovichenko represents VEB.RF in an investment treaty dispute against Ukraine seeking compensation for “creeping expropriation” of PSC Prominvestbank, VEB.RF’s Ukrainian asset.

On 28 August 2019 MZS succeeded in convincing the emergency arbitrator to render an award on provisional measures that prohibited Ukraine from taking any action to sell off VEB.RF’s shares in PSC Prominvestbank until the Tribunal delivers its award. Ukraine tried to set aside the emergency arbitrator’s award before the full Tribunal but MZS legal team secured that its application was denied in its entirety.
